Longing

The lonely trees stood
stoic against the icy blue sky
Why won’t you come to us?  We long for reunion
What wisdom we have for you, would only you stop, connect
We are ambassadors of Spirit we can show you the way.
Home.

Communal energy shared among many
can you feel me in the spaces between thought can you feel me?
I reach out bark scratching my face, cold wind biting
can you feel me yet, are you there?
I sense the other, distant, longing but his heart cannot reach me.  His love consumed by the trees leaving me, consumed.

Fire and ice, my skin tingles with touch
the unseen hand brushing lightly against my cheek sending ripples of pleasure
I sense his presence always beside me reaching through space willing dimensions to shift, veils to lift.
Embracing air, arms drop tears of recognition well.
One day, one day.

Veils of darkness separating worlds, hearts.  How is it I can live without you?  Is it possible that I am not?
